I started playing tennis at TC BW Lemgo and then moved to the WTV performance center in Herford. At the age of 13, I moved to Halle and trained for two years with Burghard Riehemann. Two years later, the BREAKPOINT team from Rödinghausen came to Halle, and I’ve been a part of it ever since. My wife was also a player in the BREAKPOINT team for many years.

At 18, I completed school in Halle and played professional tennis on the ATP Tour for 3 years. My highest rankings were 590 in singles and 470 in doubles in 2005.

After that, I started coaching in the BreakPoint team while studying in Bielefeld. After completing my three-year studies, I began working full-time as a coach. My responsibilities in the BreakPoint team include the complete organization of daily training sessions. As a coach of the Base, I train daily with our young players.

My personal goal as a coach is to continually improve in every training session and gain further experience, so I can better cater to each type of player and personality.

For the players, my goal is for each one to push themselves to be the best every day, to learn to work independently and with discipline, so that they are well-prepared for future steps such as professional tennis, college studies, or vocational training.
